Shoppers’ data requests

Copies and erasure of a shopper’s data — what you must do and what Tocler does.

Updated 2 November 2026Live from Tocler

Shoppers use your shop’s /your-data page. They prove their email with a code, then ask for:

  • A copy — made automatically and sent as a private link.
  • Erasure — you have 30 days to answer in Customers → Data requests (right customers.privacy).

Erasure removes or anonymises the shopper’s personal data in your shop. Orders, money records and abuse reports are kept as the law requires, without the personal details. If a shop doesn’t answer in time, Tocler carries out the request.
