How payments work
Two kinds of ways to pay: Tocler’s offers, and your own accounts with payment providers.
Open Settings → Payments. How you get paid shows, live, every way of paying that is on in this shop. There are two kinds:
| Kind | What it is | Where the money goes |
|---|---|---|
| Tocler’s offers | Crypto through Tocler Pay, and store credit. | Crypto: into your Tocler Wallet (after Tocler’s fee) — or straight to your own addresses once approved. Store credit: the shopper’s balance in your shop. |
| Payment providers | Your OWN accounts: cards (Tribute, Stripe, PayPal…), crypto (Cryptomus…) and manual methods (bank transfer, Wise, Cash App…). | Straight to your account with the provider. Tocler’s fee is collected separately (see Tocler’s fee). |
Safe by design
- Totals are worked out on Tocler’s server from your live prices.
- An order is marked paid only after Tocler checks the payment with the provider (a signed message, then reading the payment back) — amount and currency.
- Your provider keys are encrypted and shown only masked.
Tabs
- Payment methods — switch ways of paying on and off, connect providers.
- Shopper fees — optional extra fees the shopper pays for a method.
- Guest checkout — see Guest checkout.
- Tocler’s fee (owner) — what Tocler charges and what you owe.
