Options and variants

Sell one product in several versions — each with its own price, SKU, stock and picture.

Updated 2 November 2026Live from Tocler

A product can have options (for example Edition: Standard / Deluxe and Region: Europe / Global). Each combination is a variant with its own price, SKU, barcode, stock and picture. A product without options has one built-in variant — you never need to make one.

Add options

  1. In the product editor open Options.
  2. Add an option name and its values. Choose how shoppers pick: buttons, colour swatches or a list.
  3. Tocler makes the variants. Set each one’s price and stock, or switch off the ones you don’t sell.

A variant’s picture comes from your Media library; when a shopper picks that variant, the picture changes.

Can a variant be hidden?

Yes — switch it off. It disappears from the product page and can’t be added to a cart; orders that already have it are not changed.

Do variants change Tocler’s fee?

No. The fee is a share of what the buyer pays for the goods, whatever the variant.
